| Subframe Spacer Install for 1986-1992 Mazda Rx-7 |
When placing the car on jackstands, place jackstands under factory jacking points and not under the rear subframe. This will allow the subframe to move while installing the spacers and allow for easier installation. |
Locate the bracket which mounts from the body to the bottom of the subframe and remove the bracket. |
Push the subframe spacer onto the subframe mounting stud and push it up into the bottom of the subframe. The spacer may become jammed at an angle. If so, use a soft face mallet to tap the spacer into the subframe. |
The spacer should fit flush against the bottom of the subframe. |
Finally, reinstall the subframe mounting bracket. The large nut should be torqued to 75ft-lbs (100 Nms). |
